NEW YORK-Ameri100 is proud to have sponsored the WOS Tri-State Executive Forum held today at Low Memorial Library - Columbia University, New York. Workforce Outsource Services (Workforce Opportunity Services) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that helps companies build strong talent pipelines through unique work-study programs. WOS accomplishes this by placing talented, driven high-school graduates and military Veterans in scholarship programs that teach them actionable corporate skills as well as interpersonal/communication skills. Dr. Arthur Langer is Founder and Chairman of WOS.

Opening Keynote was by Lt. General Richard Y. Newton III, USAF (Ret), Executive Director, The Union League Club who spoke about "Strategic Leadership Over Difficult Terrain". He showcased the lessons to be learnt by the corporate world from the brave and selfless armed forces, concluding with a beautiful quotation - "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are".

Next, Steve Bandrowczak, SVP & CIO, Hewlett-Packard took to the stage with his electrifying & inspiring presentation on "Accelerating Business through Next Generation Technology". He stressed on how technology is coming at us at a pace never seen before and concluded - "Be brave, be bold, and use technology shifts as an opportunity - not as a threat".

The morning session concluded with an executive panel discussion on "The Future Impact of Mobile Technology", moderated by Shawn Banerji, MD of Russell Reynolds. It featured Stuart Kippelman, Corporate VP & CIO, Covanta Energy and Carl Brinkman, CTO, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. The panel concluded that the ability to apply innovation faster, embracing multiple roles simultaneously and agility in thinking are keys to future success.

The afternoon session began with Jack Hughes, Founder of Lewis Bay Holdings speaking on "The Changing Nature of Skills and Work in a Networked World". He concluded that the future is going to be "any skill, any time, any where" and highlighted the growing power of crowd sourcing platforms.

Concluding the event, Dr. Arthur Langer gave a presentation on 'Strategic IT: The Transition Taking Place in the CIO Role". He showcased the personal traits of historically successful CIOs and explained as to how they have to align with organizational philosophy composed of best-in-class practices in order for the CIO leadership - and in turn, companies - to be successful in today's dynamic environment.
